Product notes:

All frosting sheets are gluten and diary free and the edible ink used is only the best Italian imported brand.

Image can be used on fudge icing, rolled icing/fondant, butter icing, mock/fresh cream. What is recommended with the oil based icings is the topper be placed onto a thin fondant sheet to give it more consistency and will completely eliminate any colours running, this is not completely necessary but in some cases especially the hotter months does help.

It does need to be noted that although we make EVERY effort to match your image colours exactly it cannot be guaranteed, this is simply due to the nature of the material we are working with, therefore the actual colours may vary slightly!

Please note that we can customise the dimensions of the actual design to suit your cake size and in some cases if the space allows we can duplicate the image on the topper so you have an extra image to work with.

How to get your photo or image to us:

Once you have placed your order by going through the check-out process. A confirmation of your order will be emailed to you, you simply reply to this email with your image attached.

Image sizes:

Please be sure that your image or photo is 300dpi or at least 500kb in size. The easiest way to know if your image is going to be suitable for printing is to view your image at 100% size, basically if you can fill your computer screen with the image and it still looks clear you can be pretty sure it will print great.

Adding Text to your Photo/Image:

To add some text like: 'Happy Birthday David' or ‘Jenny is turning 1’ etc., just add this to your email when sending through your photo or image and be sure to specify your colour choice. We cannot promise to get the font you are after but will be sure to make the wording look great.

Peeling your edible prints:
Now remember when peeling, due to the high humidity during the summer months it is best to use one of the below peeling techniques:
1. Freezer
2. Oven
If you try to peel and it does not come away easily stop right there, as it might begin to tear.

If you are cutting out the images do so before attempting to peel - if you have a lot of smaller images you are cutting out then i would refer to the oven peeling option below.

1. FREEZER:
Place the topper, removed from the plastic sleeve into the freezer on a flat surface for about 60 - 90 seconds or more if required, when you open the freezer and bend the backing sheet the topper should just pop right off, if it bends with the backing it is not frozen enough and will not remove easily.. keep it in the freezer until it simply pops off when bending the backing. If the topper is still being stubborn be sure that your freezer is cold enough, as the topper does need to freeze in order to be removed easily. If for some reason the topper simply will not freeze you can also try the oven method mentioned below.

2. OVEN:
When working with the cupcake toppers the freezer technique can work but from experience the oven is the better option as it draws the moisture out of the toppers making them into little disks that are very easy to work with.

What you need to do is turn your oven on to between 50 - 100 degrees FAN assisted, wait for about 5/10 minutes until the oven is warm then place your topper sheet with the images facing up on a baking paper and in the oven. You can leave the oven on just be sure to keep an eye on it. Check the toppers in about 5 minutes, if you bend the backing sheet and they start to come off easily they are done, if not leave for longer. Take them out the oven and simply peel them off like little disks, this is done easily by bending the backing sheet, i would peel all of them and put them on the baking paper before working on the cupcakes, that way you are sure they are all off and ready. If you are working with multiple sheets just be sure they do not over lap in the oven, possibly even do one sheet at a time, as the one comes out the other goes in.
Our FREE design assistance and FREE regular shipping are just ways we would like to help make your upcoming event a success. (express shipping - overnight is available at $9.00)

All prints are shipped in a sealed plastic sleeve and hard card envelope to ensure complete dryness and protection of the prints.

easy way to create an impressive cake

Posted by Glen on 16th Sep 2013

When you have kids the first few birthdays are more about the parents. There is a bit of one-upmanship when it comes to the cakes and with greater computer skills than culinary I figured I'd look into edible printing.
I was a little hesitant, with time restraints it was to be a one shot deal, if I stuffed it up there would be no backup plan.
Thankfully Heidi was very helpful with tips for application and everything went smoothly.
I will keep her in mind for any future cake making endeavors.
